When you’re bored of watching movies or TV, a trip to the supermarket can give you the entertainment you didn’t expect. Sometimes things happen there that are so interesting, you think, “I want to see what happens next!”
The Stories:
- At the flower shop, a boy about 8 years old was in line in front of me. He asked the shop assistant for a small bouquet, but he didn’t have enough money. He thought for a moment and said, “I can wash your floors, and then you can sell me the bouquet.”
The seller smiled, and everyone in line gave the young romantic a little money to help him buy the bouquet.
- At the supermarket checkout, a dad and his young son were next to me. While the father was paying, the son leaned over, stuck out his tongue, and licked the moving conveyor belt. He seemed fascinated by the wet line his tongue made. By the time his dad noticed, the boy had already stopped, and no one else saw it except me.
- One day, I was in a grocery store and saw something out of the corner of my eye. A few minutes later, about 40 people were trying to chase a raccoon out of the store, while a woman jumped into the freezer section, screaming, “I don’t want rabies!” over and over again.
- My husband once went to the supermarket, and I asked him to buy me sanitary pads. When he came back, he got exactly the kind I use. I asked, “How did you know these are the right ones?” He said, “I recognized them by the smell.
