Travelers Who Saw Unusual Traditions While Abroad

Traveling is a great way to learn about the customs and traditions of other countries. It helps us understand how different cultures work, what they value, and what makes them special. However, being in a new country can sometimes be difficult, and we may face unexpected situations that can be outside our comfort zone.

The Story:

I went to China and noticed that some children had holes in the backs of their shorts. I asked the guide about this, and she said it was an alternative to diapers. The kids can just go to the bathroom anywhere, and the parents either clean it up or put a napkin over it. Another reason for this is to encourage the kids to get potty trained. If they are seen in public with a hole in their pants after a certain age, it can be embarrassing for them.
