Robert Logan, best known for his role in the ABC show “77 Sunset Strip,” has passed away at the age of 82.

Logan died of natural causes on May 6 in Estero, Florida.

His family waited until Wednesday to announce his death.

“He was the true example of love, both in marriage and family,” Logan’s family said in a statement to People.

Logan passed away just three weeks before his 83rd birthday.

He was born in Brooklyn on May 29, 1941.

Logan’s family, including his seven siblings, moved to Los Angeles. He earned a baseball scholarship at the University of Arizona, where he was discovered by a Warner Bros. talent agent.

His first acting role was in “77 Sunset Strip,” where he played J.R. Hale, a parking attendant. He was on the show for two seasons from 1961 to 1963.

The show starred Efrem Zimbalist Jr., Roger Smith, and Richard Long, and ran on ABC for over 200 episodes from 1958 to 1964.

Logan also appeared in the NBC series “Daniel Boone” as Jericho Jones.

His most famous film role was in the “Wilderness Family” movies as Skip Robinson, a man who moves with his family from Los Angeles to a cabin in the Rocky Mountains.

In 1985, Logan married Alina Milián, a Cuban American Pan Am stewardess and fashion model.

He retired from acting after their son was born. The couple also had a daughter.

According to his obituary, Milián took great care of Logan during his health struggles.

Logan is survived by his wife, his son and daughter, three grandchildren, and other relatives.
